ISBER Network Information

the isber subnetwork of ucsb covers the 2200 and 1000 wings of north hall. 100 megabit switched ethernet access is provided to the "silver rail" in both wings. a 10 megabit fiber connects to the two wings, and a 100 megabit uplink to the campus backbone is located in the 2200 wing. we provide dhcp ip address assignment on our entire subnet, which is the 128.111.147.x network. if you require a static ip address, contact sysadmin@isber.ucsb.edu with your request.

the use of a unix operating system (ie: freebsd, solaris, mac os x server) on the isber subnet is prohibited without authorization from sysadmin@isber.ucsb.edu.
