ISBER serves a broad range of interests in the social sciences and humanities to promote innovative research collaborations. In 2014-15, 250 projects were administered by ISBER and support for research development and contracts & grants administration provided to 10 centers, 1 state-wide, and 2 campus programs and 121 PIs and co-PIs.
Researchers come from 34 departments and all three divisions of Letters and Science. Including the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education, the College of Engineering, the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, administrative services, and faculty researchers.
Funding comes from a wide range of sources including govermental, federal agencies, California Department of Health, UC and non-UC sources, as well as other foundations and private sources, totaling over 48 different funding sources.
